This is my first attempt at any kind of taxidermy, (if thats what you want to call me doing) but i just got a feral hog 210 lb boar, and would like to just do something easy to start off with, (and easy on the wallet) could i do a european mount with the skull and husks? or is there a good way to display the husks, i'm real good with wood and metal, and trying to expand some skills, any info would be great.

I've mounted a few on slices of African Mahogany. Just sanded smooth and laquered. Join the tusks in the middle with black leather throng and glue them on (after filling with apoxxie, or as I use cotton wool,oil and a plug of wax). I've also done a bottom jaw comming straight out of a burl with a set of tusks and grinders, joined, next to it. If you get a big enough piece, you could mount a laminated photo of the pig under the tusks.
