epo- grip, technaglu

i gave up using technaglu ever since the Epo-Grip water base hide paste came out. i really like the stuff until i reached the bottom. i tan all my hides with the pressure tanner and use to use the oil inside the drum. a couple weeks ago i switched my process to oiling the hides after the tanning and washing. i do let it sit over night, wipe off excess oil on the cape and then i mount it. now the problem that i'm having is it's drying as fast as a epoxy hide paste. the only time i had a problem with Epo-Grip is when it came in contact with some D.P. could it be that the end had been simply drying out? or, when it came into contact with the oil it reacted to it?
one more thing. since my Epo-Grip was acking up i used my technaglu hide paste that had been sitting over 3 years. i had no problems! what a surprise! anyway, on the label i noticed it say's "this product contains formaldehyde" does it really contain that item?

No product would advertise containing a chemical if it weren't present. Conversely, with something as carcinogenic as formaldehyde, no one would dare use it and NOT advertise that it was there.

The Epo-Grip Waterbase Hide Adhesive is designed to be used with tanned hides only and it contains no formaldehyde. The Epo-Grip Epoxy Hide Paste can be used with either tanned or DP hides and will work equally well. If you have any questions please call me at 800-888-2467.
