I have yet to mount a wall pedestal and finally have one to do. How much extra cape is needed?

Most of them dont take much extra. If you cut it a little long u should be ok.
The ones I have done have required no more cape than I usually have. When mounting a shoulder mount. I always have 4 to 6 inches to cut off before I staple. so I would say if you leave an extra 4 to 6 inches you will be fine.
is using a hanger system that holds the head upright and secure without it swirling in a circle from the off balance weight and then having gravity take over.
Use a good hanger system!
