i have a fox skull that i recently trapped and was going to boil and clean up but the outside rims of the eye orbitals are very soft and rubbery not too strong, wondering if they would break if boiled and if anyone had any experience or advise for this, any help would be appreciated thanks

What you have there is the cartilage that also helps protect the eye. A Fox skull, once cleaned doesn't have a complete circle, it's more like a 'C' around the eye area.

and you can see what it's supposed to look like when it's done.
