i was wondering what you have to do to sale a mount that wasnt picked up or paide for.
i have a customer that was suppose to pick up a head mount the 12th of this month and hasnt, when i call them thay just hang up. i also stated if it wasnt picked up by a differnt date it would be sold,
do i have to send them a letter stating it also, even after taking and telling them the same thing on the phone.
i have never had this happen befor, i shold also state that thay have never paide a dime on it,
Thank You for any help, Randy

I would send them a registered letter stating a specific date they must pick up their mount and for you to be paid in full. If they do not comply to this I would sell the mount. Good Luck, Kevin
....On the LAW in your state.
the Law in California says a Taxidermist can sale mounts,
but dosent say if their is a time limit to give a customer.
ive been contacting them scence november to pick it up.
figure its time to sale it.
Thanks for your time, Randy
You need to learn English. The term is sell NOT sale. something is for sale. You sell a mount. then it is sold.
Second. You need to learn to spell. your problem may lie in the fact your customers think you are too dumb to sell their mount.
You started two sentences with small cap letters, DaHHH!
Make that, three sentences with improper first letters. Use spell check when you correct somebody.
Just Exactly what is a small cap letter. Its either Capital, or lower case.
California allows you 60 days after notification.
My local Game Warden here in California also told me that I must keep on hand the who's and , what's, of any sale for a period of forever. Example, who was the person that didn't pay (name and address), what was the animal that was sold (Blacktail Deer, Wild Boar), and if it were me I would also keep the information on who bought the animal. Lets keep in mind that the animal can only be sold for what is owed on it, so think outside the box a bit. One more thing, if its a migratory bird or a protected speices be very carful I'm sure those can't be sold regardless. If you have any other questions I would say that the best thing to do is make freinds with your local Game Warden and ask a bunch of questions. Good luck!
