Has anyone purchased a "tanned" cape from this place? They sell blesbok and wildebeast but they look hard as a rock. I e-mailed them about the tan and they said it was soft tanned and didnt know any thing about it. Brent

I have purchased 2 capes from them. They are hard, but rub in a little tanning oil and put in a plastic bag overnight. They soften up enough to work with.

Chrome tanned

I bought a couple capes and horns from them. The warthog seemed to be air dried and not tanned so I tanned it. The springbok was chrome tanned and was like trying to stretch a tire, chrome tan is not for taxidermy.
In addition to that, I bought horns for the springbok and so I had three items that the shipping was to be combined. When he billed me it was more than if I paid individually. When I e-mailed him to complain he took $1 off of each items shipping cost, so I paid nearly $50 for shipping on a small box that weighed less than 10 lbs.
