I skinning out a whitetail a few weeks ago and noticed that the hide was hard to seperate from the meat and it was really slimy. It also appeared that the meat was really pink and seemed to have allot of water content to it. Also after I caped it out I had a hard time rough fleshing it right before I salted it. The customer said it was shot 2 days before I received it. Any ideas?

That post was right on. I will ask the customer if he hosed it down. It doesn't seem like it is a smart thing to do unless you get allot of urine and or guts in the body cavity area (water promotes bacteria growth) I think? Hmmmmmm, now I have to find room on my recipts to add the words, watered down bigheaded deer = extra charge
