Can mountain goat horns be removed so the core can be cleaned or is this not possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes they can and they need to be.If you get them fresh,wrap in plastic till they rot a few days,when they get loose,twist and pull them off.If they have dried on there,throw them in a bucket of water till they soften up,then pull them off.Sometimes it only takes a day,sometimes a week.
