Potassium Permanganate ?

I am trying some Potasium Permanganate. I mixed it with water and it turned purple. Is this normal or should I have used distilled water? This is high quality stuff I got from a friend of mine in the water treatment bussiness.

Yes the purple is normal however alchol is best to use. It will created a richer color when dry as well as dry faster. I like the product.

Thanks, I really did not want to turn these horns purple. I will try the alchol next time.

they will not tuirn purple

i use alcohol but water is okay - rub it on it will be ok

Stains Brown

It will stain almost anything brown. Including you. It doesn't wash off of skin it wears off. It always turns liquid purple even with Alcohol.

I appreciate the feedback. I have heard everyone talk about using this stuff and wanted to try it for myself. I wonder if the first person to use it thought theyu were messing up or what.
