I told you before, soak them for a few days to rehydrate.Sometimes it works overnight, sometimes not.Boiling is not my prefered method, but since you started it,you might still be able to get it to work.First don't boil, only simmer.Hard boiling can tighten things up.I'd say simmer for no more than 4 hours total, check it every hour to see if they'll come off.Work a knife or thin screw driver under the horn all the way around to make sure the base is seperated.Twisting seems to be the motion that loosens them best.If you think they are close but can't quite get them, wrap a rag or leather around them and try twisting with channel locks-being careful not to damage the horns. If this doesn't work, you need to go back to soaking them in a bucket of water. It just takes as long as it takes.Maybe a day, maybe a few days. When they are ready though, they come right off-easily.They aren't always ready when you are.

thanks for hep jim

If they won't come off, get yourself a rubber mallet and beat the hell out of them. They will come off and don't tell me they won't.
