Elk nose

working on elk mount and was wondering if the nose is dished in or do you have to build it up with clay. I just got a McKenzie form and the middle of the nose is dished in. is that how i mount it or do you have to build that area up with clay. hope this makes sense.

Elk are dished and if you look at your deer, the older the buck the more dished it gets.


Elk Nose

I have found out that if you are doing a really nice elk mount it really pays to use a replacement nose. It make the interior of the nose so much easier to work with when doing the finishing work.
