slippage after mounting, what to do

Im no pro so any advice would be appreciated. I mounted a half body bobcat and the hair pulls out kinda easy. It is completely finished. Is there anything I can do. I think the skin thawed too long and got a little warm. Thanks for any advice.

it might even help now
and id also stop pulling on it Marc A is right
ive had a little succes using stoprot on a few deer i did that i already had in the freezer before i incorporated stop rot up front
dont ask me how it works but i know it will help sometimes on a tanned cape after mounting. ive seen it with my own eyes and nobody can tell me different

also how did you tan it that might help us give advise for next time
anyway get some stop rot
i recommend it for all skins up front its too easy to use no to

STOP PULLING ON IT

I used to have the same problem till I quit pulling on it till it was dry. Most mounts do that if you pull on it

I am assuming you DPed the cat. when using DP you cannot mess with the fur much for several days. Make your ear, and eye adjustments as needed. other than that don't mess with it. I had a young fellow do a Coyote mount for a competition. it looked perfect. the next day he decided to make some adjustments to the tail. and pulled a BIG hank of hair out. He was sick. we replaced the tail. and the mount still placed. but it could have done better.
