I did not find an exact answer in the archives. I am mounting a buck of my own but I want to use the rack from a nicer buck I got a couple years ago. What sort of problems might I run into (if any) getting the scalp to match up aroung the antlers. I'd appreciate any advise. The older buck was a bigger deer.

the bases were alot bigger you wont have any trouble. worst case, you will have a small gap behind the burr.
with replacement capes for customers. When you get the skull plate fitted to the form, pull the cape over the form and make sure everything lines up along the burr line. If this does not line up correctly, it can throw everything off. If the bases of the antlers are bigger than the cape you want to use, simply fit and cut out around the burr line on the cape so that the incision can be closed correctly. Please keep in mind you should make sure everything lines up and nothing is distorted from pulling the cape up around the burr line. Hope this helps and enjoy.
Thanks for the help guys!
