need help with moosehead fading

We have a moosehead that is about 20 years old. The cape is fading with direct sunlight and age. Can't do much about the sun, except that we do cover it with a dark flannel sheet in the winter. Is there a product we can use to "bring it back to life"? Seems worst at the top of his head. Thankyou.

The moose shed its hair when it was alive, and that's gone as well. There's no magic elixir (other than hair dye which works to a limited degree) of restoring the mount other than replacing the hide. You either need to replace your windows with UV protected glass or move the mount.

UV protection won't help much either

I have 16 deer heads on my living room wall. I have low E windows, plus I put the reflective window coatings on the glass. I should have about 99.9% of the UV light blocked. Those deer look like ghosts after 10 years. I have all of my best heads (about 30 more)in other rooms in the house away from any sunlight. They haven't faded at all.
