Just bought an air brush but have not used it yet. the deer i just finished i painted with a brush ( not the ears ). I got just a little bit of black on the hairs when painting lip. It did clean up with water ( i use hydro-mist ) but at first as i cleaned it it got worse. Was wondering when you air brush lips nose and around eyes do you find it easy to clean over spray or are you good enough with air brushing that you dont get any paint on anything else . thanks John H

have to clean off the hair around these areas. Usually i am able to remove it with my fingers and a toothbrush. When i comes to painting less is better.
What lee is saying you can try to use the brush dry first. I use both water and laquer(sp) based paint and have never had a problem getting it out of the hair where I don't want it by just brushing it with a dry brush. In the areas I want the paint to blend with the hair I will use a soft brush. If I want it to be gone I use a stiff one. And like lee i also use my fingers for the ear hairs.
john if it's a pain in the butt for you to clean the eye off try EYE PROTECT from McKenzie awesome stuff before you paint just brush it on let it dry you can use your air brush gun to blow air on it to speed up drying time usuallly about 45 sec. to dry . paint your eye then take a toothpick and rub off the glaze
John H.,wait til the paint drys, probably 30 minutes, then use your fingers or a tooth brush-any brush, and brush out the over spray.Around the eyes you can use a dry q-tip and lightly (brush, scrape)away the overspray, but be careful so you don't go too deep and take off the underlying layers.
get a life what kind of dumb ass question is that
a piece of masking tape and put it under the lip to help keep overspray off, I also coat the eyes with a couple coats of modge podge then just peel it off afterwards. Eye Protect is probably better, but I already have the modge podge in my shop.
