Wall Pedestal Mount

I am attempting a wall pedestal whitetail. I,ve been using the orange button for about two hours and learned alot. I think I've got the back part you cover with buckskin, felt or paint. My question is on the wall pedestals there is still a flat plywood side that faces the wall. Do you just wrap the hide around this side and staple like a regular wall mount and have the mount touching the wall? I was thinking about a stand off hanger. I'm afraid the plywood would be visable or the stapled hide wouldn't lay flat if someone looked right down the wall at it. Any suggestions? Thanks

just like a regular shoulder mount. You can't see a thing. I have one with skin and one I have painted. The hanger is flush to the back board.

Forgot, hanger placement

is going to be your biggest problem. It will need to be close to the edge near the top. If I remember right. You could always stain or paint the back if you are concerned, I guess.
