Of the deer i have done i always use ear liners. It works ok for me but i want to try without using ear liners. Th ething that has me worried a little is how fast it will set up on me and will i be able to shape it in time. I know there is bondo and a few other ways of doing it but what way will give me a little extra time to make sure the shape of the ear is the way i want it. If you have any little tricks you could share to make the ear shape just right would be great thanks John H

John, they make some "inserts" that you can put in the ears before they set up and shape them. Or...you can do it by hand and eye. Being new to bondo, the inserts may give ya more confidence. Not sure who sells them, look in the major suppliers and i bet you will find what i am talking about. Good Luck.
I'm think they are called Accu Ears, whatever, but they (RMI) sells them. Hope it helps
i just use good reference when shaping
i switched from earliners a couple years ago
love the ear magic
can get it real thin and it wont drum
it does take a couple to get the hang of it but when you do
i suspect you will never go back to anything else
now with that said id suggest earliners for competition
