tear ducts

Submitted by dave on 5/8/06 at 1:03 PM. ( ) 24.197.197.253

Just got whitetail/mulie capes back from tannery, and the tear ducts are COMPLETELY GONE, i mean there is a hole there! Tried search button for ideas on how to take care of this problem with little help.
Any ideas?

These are wet tanned capes, and 1 white tail seems to be slightly slipping, any way to stop the slippage?
Thanks

If it's not that big you can try to tuck or pin in the appropiate area, than use apoxy clay(it doesn't shine like the epoxies) and airbrush.

holes are the size of my thumb print

Taxi and tuck

I have had this happen before. I used a form a 1/2 smaller eye to nose and pulled more from the nose pad area back, taxied and tucked. I have also done it by tucking the best i could and using epoxe sculp then airbrushing a lighter eye mix. Sometimes if its a summer coat deer they are a little shy hair in this area to begin with. Good luck
