Corsican Sheep

Submitted by Rock on 6/5/06 at 3:23 PM. ( ) 67.34.210.123

On corsican sheep I soaked the skull plate w/ horns for about 4 days. I still can not get the horns to slide off from the core of the horn. I tapped with a hammer. I took a screw driver and tap it up under the horn to loosen from the base to see if that helped. Is there something I am not doing right because I am sure it is not easy to remove them. Any pointers will be appreciated? Thanks!

enough time I always let mine set in a bag with a little bit of water for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks they just slide right off! But be careful because it stinks!

Boil them for about 15 to 20 minutes then hit them in the curve part of the horn with a rubber mallad

dont ever boil sheep horns untill they are off the core you will ruin the bases take the horns and drop them on a piece of solid plywood make sure they hit on the bases the horns will pop off this works on all sheep dont boil!
