world record Roosevelt Elk

This past hunting season, the world record Roosevelt Elk was shot here in WA. I dont have the official score in front of me at this time. I was reading a magazine article a couple weeks ago and read what it was and where it was shot.

This winter I was shed hunting for Roosevelt antlers. I found a set that will score higher than the bull that was shot. The record was like 332 or something like that. Mine score in the 348 range, with a conservative spread of 40 inches. My question is, who or where do they score shed antlers to determine the actual size of the animal? If they are bigger, what could they be worth (not that they are for sale) insurance reasons.

Chris-
I think you should check your details more closely!
There was a bull killed in Oregon (5 years ago?) that scored 401 + B & C;it was the world record at that time, the first recorded Roosevelt over 400".
The P & Y record (389 +) was killed less than 20 miles from where I live close to 20 years ago, don't believe that record has been eclipsed yet!
I ran a set of antlers through the shop last year that scored 330; that bulls previous years sheds wer found a couple weeks afterward, they went 319 (gave them the same spread credit as the bull had wheen harvested).
