Need some help, have looked in archives but can't find anything, I have taken the sheaths off of the cores cleaned both cores and sheaths. My problem lies when I have re-attached them as one went further down the core and I did not catch it. The sheath is now resting very close to the eye orbit. I am wondering do I try and trim the sheath or leave it and try and work the skin to it.

to reattach sheath to core? Can you not get it back off? On sheep or any other horned animals that require horn removal try drilling a small hole in back side of horn into core. Then when you are ready to re-attach horn you can insert a small screw into sheath and core to get it back to where it belongs and not to far or not far enough. If you absolutly cant get sheath back off I would try to trim sheath up a little. Good Luck! P.S. drill the holes before you remove sheaths.
Todd, I used bondo and fiberglass resin, was thinking of trying to heat up with a heat gun but don't want to ruin horns. It's pretty tight right now so I think I may have to trim at least one sheath. Thanks for the reply.
