My son bought a buffalo skull a few years ago. It is getting mold on it- does anyone know how to remove the mold?

Sue, Probably you are seeing mold that is attracted to oil still in the bone. Often this oil will settle in the nose/mouth area of a buffalo that is hung on the wall a long time. Best advise I think is to soak the skull in a strong soapy (Dawn dishwashing liquid)water solution for a week or two. Most likely you will not completely remove all of the grease but this should get most of what the mold is feeding on. Grease that settles in bone can be challenging to remove but you can make it much better. -Aaron H.
