I am hoping to get some different techniques to finish the sewing seam on african game. Currently I use sculp-all which works ok, but I believe that there has to be a better product/technique to hide the seam. I have to use a flattening agent to get rid of the shine that the epoxie creates when painted. I've been told to try wood filler. What are the pros and cons? My goal is to make the seam invisible. What would you all suggest? Thanks for your time.

It has all the qualities of epoxy putty without the shine, air brushes out quite well. I still prefer the regular Apoxy (Personal opinion - I think it just works easier and is more "fluid" than Sculpt-All) when I have the seam covered, I take a towel and lay over it and press down on the Apoxie to give it texture. Then I brush whatever hair I can find into the Apoxie from both sides and with a very stiff bristle brush, texture fake hairs in as well. Then air brush it. I had a helluva time matching up the colors on a kudu. I tried a #2 lead pencil and it was perfect.
Try it & you will never use anthing else.
It now comes in several colors & is availible in Tubes that you can control the aplication.
.
Fill the seam , wipe it with your finger to flaten.,
Let dry & use a soft wire brush back & forth across the seam until you remove just enough to hide the seam or repair.
It dries flat color & acepts Waterbase paint Very well. You can even plant hairs in it while it is still wet.
By the way George, Try Cocoa Brown Hydromist for Kudus. it works great.
Have fun & see ya in Billings
