Two part manikan

I,ve allways used bondo, mixed with fiberglass resin, and punched holes in the two ends of the form, and mashed it full of this mixture. I then take some 1/4' rods, and push them ito the two halfes, to keep in place while the bondo/resin sets. Is there another way to this, that is a little faster? what else can I use, that some of you have done?

I used the bondo method until this season, on average I do 12-20 l/s bears and around 10 l/s deer and a large number of cats and others. My point is think of all the bondo I was using. Recently, I did a 1/2 l/s deer and started just using all thread and 6-10 ga. wire, depending on the size of the animal. I take the 3/8-1/2 all thread and cut lengths to fit the form. Poke a starter hole in the first piece and attach the all thread into your drill and insert through both pieces. When you get to the end of the all thread, stop and take it out of the drill and cut off with a cut bit in a dremel or something simular, don't pound it in the rest of the way, it will defeat the purpose of using all thread. My manikins have been going back together stronger than they were originally. I keep all thread in stock cut in lengths for different applications. I space lenghts of wire out around the mainkin for added support. Pound the wire in and when you get towards the end, bend a hook in it and then pound the rest in. Hope this helps and enjoy.
