How To Darkin up Black Buck Horns

I have a set of Black Buck Horns that are the Classic light tan color, I would like to darkin them up, I used the Search Button and only found a mention of using a melted Crayon (Wax) to achieve the color desired...is this the best metho

50/50 linseed/turpentine. They'll ebony up immediately.

George do you just paint and let sit or is it like stain wipe a little on and wipe off? Sorry if this is a dumb question ...just don't want to mess them up.

Most of it will quickly soak into the horn. Wipe any excess off with a lint free cloth. The horn will look shiny for a few hours, but that will soon be absorbed as well. Don't panic with it.
