I have a really nice elk shed I have found near my cabin and would like to mount with a mounting kit. But it requires a skull plate, is there any other way to mount it without the skull? I thought about a block of wood but not sure how to do it? anyone have any idea's? I would appreciate it, thanks.

most of the supply catalogs have shed connector plates that run about 35 to 40 dollars. They serve the purpose of a skull plate. the sheds ate attached to the connector with a pin if i recall correctly. ggod luck.
