Has anyone had experience with mounting a summer longhorn? Will the cape hold together ok thru tanning etc? Is hair slippage a problem?

I recently completed a summer longhorn cow and due to the difficulties getting the form altered and maintaining the correct anatomy for the "cow"-vs-the "Steer" form that was available, I ended up freezing and thawing 5 times over a period of about 20 months before I actually mounted it. I had no issue with slipping. As for the tanning process - It was one of the first capes I tanned in-house with an Auto-tanner using the crystals and tanning oil that came with the machine.
