What should I ask for a nice European mount 6x6 elk that scored 403 3/8 official SCI. I have been told $5,000.00 - is that too high?

You can ask any price,And I hope you get twice that for it,BUT you have to find the buyer willing to pay what you want.
I charge $225.00 for an elk. But the price starts to go up with the different articles that you can use on the mount. such as the plauqe you use, etc. I feel $5000.00 is out of the ball park! But get what you can.
