I am moumting two buffalo this year. One customer wants his horns natural, and the other wants the horns polished. I have the horn caps off, but don't know where to begin to polish them. Checked the orange button but didn't find much. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jeweler's rouge and a buffing wheel

You'll need several grades of the rouge and you should have at least two separate buffing wheels.

Do them the same as moose feet

Scrape the rough spots with pieces of broken glass(you'll see when you try it".Then sand them with medium grit paper then smooth grit.A good hardware store will be able to sell you some buffing compound (the type used for aluminum and acrylics). Apply this to a buffing wheel and be careful not to apply too much pressure to cause hot spots that will turn white. An alternative is to send them to me and I'll do them for you. Email me if interested. JL
