I have an elk that scores over 400 b&c and the client wants a pedestal mount on a wooden floor base. Do I need to put some sort of weighting on the base? Because the antlers with the form and the cape are going to be pretty damn heavy. Won't that tip the floor base over? Thanks for the help.

I've done several large elk pedestal mounts over the years and have never had a problem with it being top heavy. If the base is built to stand the weight, it shoulc be plenty heavy enough to hold everything.
