ive got a friend down the road that raises whitetails and elk. i went out today to see his new elk...it's awesome. but here is my question. ive noticed some deer and elk have bug eyes, the kind of eyes that if you put on a mount and gave it to a customer they would laugh at you. so where do you draw the line on reference photos? are some mounts made to look better than the real animal itself. just wondering.

Just don't mount any Marty Feldmans or Ernest Borgnines.Got it?
I always mount my elk slightly bug eyed. Most guys mount ALL there stuff with the upper lid too heavy, in my opinion.
