I am going to go elk hunt for the first time in a month. I am looking to do a Elk-shoulder mount -- how much prep work do I do on-site? Do I field dress, then remove the expected shoulder mount? like your going to have your hands full! usually with elk you have to cape them where they are. get your measurments eye to nose and neck and head for a freezer, then do some reasearch.
