with a set of Waterbuck horns.
The lower half of the horns are flaking and badly dicolored from over boiling.
Any ideas on getting them looking presentable?

Just knock off the loose "flakes" that are standing away from the horn, then smear a little sculpting epoxy in the remaining cracks. Try and match the texture by using a heavy nylon brush and then smoothing with an artists brush. Takes a bit of practice to get it right but it's not too difficult. When the epoxy is dry shade over with a chocolate brown---DON'T OVER-PAINT!
Done this dozens of times with great results.
Good luck!
