I've been mounting a trio standing ducks on pine boards waiting for my oak bases to come in. i'm planning on cutting the pine boards with a dremel and using the elmers glue technique to build up the "ground" around the birds feet. (the birds are already posed, and the oak bases have a 1/2 inch lip around them.) has anyone ever done this before, and if so is there anything i should watch out for (other than harming the actual mount)?
p.s. the leg wires are mounted to the pine boards.
