CYPRESS KNEES . ?

son lives in florida . works for excavation company . pushes alot of these things up and just burns them . i see where they sell them for mounting things on . what has to be done to them to make them useable . < drying etc.?> if its not a lot of trouble . thinking about getting some of them . THANKS

I would be interested in buying some tall ones. Sorry I can't help with absolute knowledge but I have a pond and get cedar wash ups that I let dry and then put in bags and spray insecticide in. Let me know if you want to sell any.

talked to him today . he said he would try to get me some good sized ones and some that come up on 2 or three sides . but cut them low enough to keep together . < beats pushing them up into a pile> send me your e mail address . and i will let you know how it works out...

I used to boil in 55 gal. drums.About 45 min. boiling is fine.Take them out and as soon as they cool enough(but still warm)peel the bark.The tannic acic will leave them a beautiful buckskin brown.Email me direct with your # I'll call you.I need some to.
