I'm a photographer and am researching building "fake) rocks to use as props. I'm not quite sure how to go about building individual rocks and coating them so that they are weather proof, but still very light and portable. I shoot on location and am interested in taking several rocks with me to pose individuals/groups on them. Several of the local parks I use have some rocks, but they aren't necessarily in the places I want to photograph.
Might you offer some suggestions? Links with more directions? Or some suggestions for finishing them? I'm thinking about using an EPS foam base and coating it with something to make it weatherproof.
Thanks for any help!
