Not THAT kinda weed!
I've searched the archives extensively (all right, only 2 minutes, but I figure I contribute enough around here so help me out here!) I'm attempting a large underwater display and I'm trying to locate some taller weeds like cabbage and grasses and the typical weeds you see in a midwest lake. I can't find much of anything in the taxi supply catalogs. Most are for that "other" form of taxidermy and not fish. I'm thinking maybe the local PetSmart or Tropical Fish shop or silk plant shop but that could get expensive (They aren't REALLY going to be underwater either - lol!) Anybody know any sources for some quality weeds and a decent variety? I'd like something taller - maybe 3'-4' tall or more if available.

just kidding
IN the Van Dykes catalog on page 208 they have lily pads, Cattails, sheet moss etc that might work :)
There was a guy in Chatanoga(sp) that was selling some pretty good looking stuff form a website some time ago. I will see if I can find the Addy and post it here. I was told that he may no longer be but I will try. I will let you know either way.
I don't know what the midwest has but maybe you can find something here http://habitatsupply.com/
...thank you. Between that and I think some of the stuff Joey found will give me enough variety to compliment the scene. Thanks Joey! That doesn't mean you folks can stop posting. If you know of any other sources, please speak up!
Hide and Beak? BP
But I did just send off a catalog request form. They have very little fish stuff and I didn't even think of them - thanks!
If you have one local, try them. The have a large variety.
