This morning Me, My dad and My Brother went squirrel hunting with 20 Guage Shotguns and My dad had His Browning 300. It was still dark, But day was breaking and we entered our hunting spot by a 200 acre field and I saw a skunk. My dad always wanted a skunk mount and me and my brother got into range. I had a pump and he had a single shot. My dad was waiting with his 300. We Shot him six times at a 15 yard range and he took every shot. When we were reloading my dad shot him with the 300 at a further distance. amazingly the skunk walked off into the woods and we searched but never saw a sign of it once we got into the woods. Are all skunks this tuff or is this some type of "super skunk"? Just thought this was amazing and thought I'd share it with yall.

that we were using # 6 shot and 1 # 71/2 shot.
Are you sure you hit him? LOL. Seriously, most animals can be pretty tough, but that is pretty amazing. Just be glad he didn't walk toward you guys!
at 15 yds, your pattern would be no bigger than a quarter,
even with a 20 gauge. If I had to guess, you may have put som
stray pellets into him, but didn't hit anything vital. The fact
that he didn't spray would indicate you missed. I would patter
your guns at 15 yards and see where you hit what your patterns
that must be one helluva choke on your shotgun. at 15 yard, your pattern would be more like a pie pan than a quarter.
I certainly agree that they missed though.
more Practice boys!LOL
Because we fonnd bloody pellets where it went plum through.
Now I've been around a lot of skunks, and surely you can't tell me you couldn't have followed him just by the smell. Truthfully, I'm glad you didn't catch him! LOL :)
