Now I don't feel quite as bad... mine shouldn't even be printed! I'd probably use them myself, but that would be wrong.

What Archie Phillips recommended at NTA

This response submitted by Dino on 1/12/01. ( ) 152.163.189.69

Archie PHillips gave a business seminar at Billings -- and we all know he is very successful.
His point on this is you want to promote yourself -- name it after yourself. That way people remember YOU. If you are too cute with a name, it may sound like all the other cute names.
Also, he says use "studio", not "shop" - make yourself sound professional.
Dino of Dino's Taxidermy -- everyone remembers my name thank to the Flintstones -- thanks, Mom

Name

This response submitted by Rick on 1/13/01. ( ) 208.3.2.194

I think something out of the norm is productive, kinda adds class.

Mine is "Wind River Taxidermy" named after a place in WY. (and river.)

Wolf Creek Taxidermy
Bear Creek Taxidermy
Blackwater Taxidermy (or Studio)
Red Feather Taxidermy
New Creation Taxidermy
(Ozark) Mountain Taxidermy
Running Bear (Deer, Wolf) Taxidermy
Eagle's Nest Taxidermy
Natural (or Nature's) Expressions Studio
Nature Arts Taxidermy

If you use your name, I would add a bit to it to make it more original, such as: Bob's Quality Taxidermy

Ok, Ok, you can stop laughing now! I'll shut up! Good Luck ...Rick

Just a suggestion. Here's how I came up with mine(shop name). I normally do fur,and fish(tend to stay away from birds). Racks n'Fins Taxidermy. A little catchy and kinda states what I do. Just a suggestion. You gotta pick what's right for you.

Have a great day!

name my shop

This response submitted by john edwards on 1/22/01. ( ) 24.218.93.221

I am a buyer and retail business 42 years (not taxidrery) I sugest you add to the name Quality Taxidermy. I have bought 39 mounts in 6 months only one was a disapointmant. Most of you guys do quality work. that is what most people want.If you like most in your peer group are gong to do quality work tell them so then stand in back of it. You will go far. I like Dan's a 1 taxidermy. he is a good example of it.

Mine is

This response submitted by CHUCK on 2/9/01. ( ) 152.163.189.69

C & C Taxidermy- named for my partner and I ,both named Chuck.
