The state of Kentucky now charges $125.00 for its taxidermy licence.What a rip off! The economy is not good at all in Kentucky to be able to charge high service fees done on mounts. Another thing is, what in return does the state give you for that $125.00!NOTHING!

you guys have some awesome fried chicken!
You get a lot more than you think right now. In my state the license allows me to;
Lawfully charge for my work
Possess over the bag limits
Buy and sell furbearers
Those are just a few of the bigger rights I get by renewing my license every 2 years
In the state of Washington we have to pay $180.00 per year. This lets use practice taxidermy "for profit":) only. If we want to buy and sell furs thats additional.
Timber Tiger Taxidermy
you know we have the best politicians that money can BUY here in the Bluegrass State....its because the license fee is set by the Ky. Dept. of Fish & Wildlife, which acts seperate from all the rest of the state budgets, a state within a state so to speak.....they get all the license fees generated, it doesn't go into the general fund so what a better way to gouge your butt .....you know it and I know it that our politicians SUCK which is a good thing for Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolian cause it keeps the Great State of Tennessee from sliding down on those fine States.
What fur are you going to be buying from your state? The $@!#@!&*%$#@ antis and their bambi heartstrings got all but trapping with wire cages banned.That alone should make your liscense cost be far less.Lets go shoot some beavers and muskrats, any takers, or did they ban hunting them too?Antis really make me sick.
