Looks like a Dr. Seuss animal in the Mr. Grench cartoon to me. But what do I know. I just do fish. Can you imagine if all that mass went into a more typical rack?

antler base!

ok that interesting animal poses a quiestion to you pro's
what would the pedicle look like on such an animal?
i have a freind that has a deer skull that has what lookes like a giant pedical over most of the top of the skull!

Mark, I think someone's badly mistaken

The stories are similar, but yet different. The young boy who shot it has some medical problems or muscular dystrophy or something. He's 15, but the deer isn't the new world record that's been talked about. The animal you have pictured is a cactushead. There are no main beams and scoring it would be almost impossible. The new world record, from what I've seen has a very typical frame with several kickers, stickers, and drop tines. This ain't it.

I'm with George...

This is a heck of a deer, but not the potential World Record deer we've all been hearing about, nor do I think it would score at/near 322.

322 is a decent bull elk, and this is a bit short of elk-like antler.

I will say this.....it's one heck of a buck!

The deer would have to stripped of the velvet to eligable B&C. PS. I'd shoot it.

Not true Rick

This response submitted by George on 10/27/2003. ( ) 205.188.209.11

Those were the old rules. New rules, complete new class for velvet deer.
