I have serious tennis elbow problem. (I'm sure caused by fleshing capes). I was wondering if anyone else out there have had problems with this. I've had three cortizone shots within the last 10 months. The first one relieved the pain for 5 months, the second lasted four weeks and the last one lasted 2 days. They are no longer an option. My doctor says physical therapy is next and then possible surgery.

I have had a bad elbow for years. It always seem to flare up in the fall when I am doing a lot of fleshing.I have a brace that I wear that seems to help me a lot I got it from my chiropractor it is called BANDIT.You might be able to order one by calling 800-676-1550(this number is stamped on my brace)
Get some ostrich oil or emu oil and rub it in. My wife used it on her shoulder she had calcum build up in the joint and in 6 monthe it was gone. She had the shots as well and surgery was next. Check you health food store etc.
Arby, I suffered with it for a long time during my heavy duty softball playing days. I finally had the surgery. They cut the tendon and re-attach it further down to relieve the tension. It really worked for me. No more problems whatsover. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

How long was your recovery time? Thanks, Arby
If I remember right, it was about 6 weeks before I was back throwing and swinging the bat. Those activities put a huge strain on the elbow. So, I think I could have resumed doing taxidermy type work sooner than that.
