I hope you are kidding! I don't know George Roof personally, but I do know he is a great taxidermist. Sure, he is always near the computer, but maybe he likes helping people. I (as well as many others) check this out many times a day. It's an obsession to always learn more about taxidermy. George has been doing taxidermy since 1958, so I listen to what he has to say! One thing I do know, is that George doesn't need me to defend him!

george roof is just some guy thats dumb enough to help out all the beginners that come here seeking free knowlege about taxidermy, those that actually pose the questions and those that just quietly read and learn.but he is amply rewarded with smart assed replies , you know like " the george button " but if you notice that a lot of time george tells you to do a search....he'll add "it's in there" which means that he took the time to search it himself before he told the rest of us to,,,,,,,,,who is george roof......i would say a wellspring of knowlege to which anyone is welcome to drink,,,,,,thank you mr. roof
He is a knowledgeable taxidermist with alot of experience. I am just getting started, but I've learned ALOT from him and many others via the archives. They have left alot of good information there for us newbies to suck up. Thanks George, et al.. :)

A full time taxidermist up in Delaware who has been doing taxidermy for probably longer then you have been on this earth. He is a fountain of knowledge, a darn good taxidermist, a member on the board of the NTA and a good friend of mine. Geo is from the old school and got his taxidermy knowledge through trial and error in the hard school of knocks. Unlike so many newcomers who want everything delivered to them and don't bother using their own brains anymore. If Geo gives you some advice here take it to heart because his advice is based on decades of experience.
Geo knows what he is talking about when it comes to taxidermy even though he appears a little rough on the edges sometimes. You John ought to be glad that someone like Geo takes the time to sit at the computer every day to answer questions from beginners who are at times too lazy and sometimes to stupid to try and figure it out for themselves.
George is a great guy and a joy to know! He is a fantastic taxidermist and a gentleman!

A very important asset in the Taxidermy Net & Taxidermy Industry.
George gives great advice to all those who ask and he is willing to share ideas and advice from others.
No doubt if you ask him a stupid question, You'll definitely get a stupid answer.And he's bald too (Or is it Bill Yox?.LOL

George has taught me alot of things the latest is you can be anything you want to be on the internet.I read in here he is the greatest taxidermist,he is God,George have these people seen your work?Or are you still pushing my work off as yours?Lol!He loves taxidermy and is willing to share his knowledge if you can put up with his personality.
George is a frank and honest person. He will do anything for a friend and has even been known to help out idiots like you John. George worked his ass off to get to where he is now in life and taxidermy. He didn't get it instantaneously like so many of you younger computer "I want it NOW tantrum throwers". If he says "use the orange search button dum-dum ", feel you have been honored. He is a wealth of information, integrity, and good old fashioned hard working, self helping, helping others kind of person. I say old fashioned because self help and hard working seems to be out of date for the new generation of kids and adults, and so many of you will never understand that you don't need to be cooed to and petted, as you receive the knowledge you are demanding. Grow up and quit being such milquetoasts.
You owe George an apology as well as us, for insulting our friend.
