what was the answer to the fish fin question that was posted a month or 2 ago? it was posted by a fish replication specialist,, he wanted someone to guess what product he was making fins from<< like the consistency of peanut butter, and when dried it was flexible yet sturdy?
Was the answer dental alginate? I never did see who guessed the answer, did you?

Jen, I'm not sure if you're serious or not. But alginate is NOT the answer - I'm just messin with ya. Alginate is the right consistency but can only be used to make a mold FROM. It's wuick and gives great detail, but it cannot be used for the final product. It tears easily and begins to break down after a few days. It is only a temporary product.
I actually don't recall what the answer was. Perhaps Randy can jump in here...

I thought he was tapping your brains to analyze the product he had developed, the clues seemed to be a journey in process to the final answer.
I really did ponder that he came up with new combination of useable products to accomplish a wearable, safe fin production product.
I think we gave every possible answer one can imagine.Lol
