So did it make a difference yesterday about not buying gas? i sure didnt buy any. That crap is expensive. here is $1.90. that is rediculous. I would hate to live some where where it is $2.15 a gal.
Here it's about 90 cents /litre... 4 litres per gallon thereabouts makes it $3.60 a gallon!
where are you at that it cost $3.60 a gal
He must be in Canada. I was there week before last and I almost past out when I saw the gas prices..... Beer was also high! LOL.
NE PA. in areas 2.24 gal ouch.
Milk is running $2.60 a gallon. Pepsi is $4.00 a gallon, and may God help you if you're buying Italian dressing or mayonnaise. Chevis Regal must be going for about $60 a gallon and I heard that Chanel #5 is around $4,000 a gallon. I don't think they're making any more dinosaurs, but certainly you should expect better out of grass and hay processed through a COW. Gas prices are just like the weather. Every body is complaining, but have ANY of us reduced our travel habits significantly? John Kerry blames the President, but he's the one wanting a universal economy. Ask Raven about gas prices there or look at the EEC and see what THEY are paying for gas. Kerry obviously wants to make you pay more for your gas.
How many gallons of milk or Pepsi do you buy a week? Certainly not more than a gallon or so?
Actually I don't feel sorry for some folks. They buy gas guzzling SUV's and pickup trucks that are just for looks (have you seen how small the bed is in some of these trucks?)and then they bitch about the price of gas. We still waste a lot of gas in this country and some folks are too lazy to walk a block and instead hop into the car or truck. I was camping once and watched two obese senior citizens DRIVE back and forth to the camp store when it could not have been more than a hundred foot walk. Gee I wonder why they were so fat.
Just like Mexico City that is also sinking I could care less. As far as I am concerned big cities are an eyesore and a magnet for crime and filth.
...be BAD MOUTHIN CHICAGO!
I didn't hear the news last night. But I did notice my basket ball hoop is now at about 4' high. Either the kids dropped it down or you guys are right - we are sinking!
Cecil, I do agree with you to a point. I rarely get downtown anymore. But, Chicago does have some of the finest architectural specimens, along with a vast variety too. Probably moreso than anywhere in the world. If you ever wish to come over and tour the great city, just make sure you get back out before sundown - lol!
What part of the city are you from?
...on the South side, by Midway airport. I'm now out in Shorewood with a half acre. I couldn't even imagine going back to the hustle/bustle of city life EVER again. Not knockin it. Because there's a lot of fun stuff to do. I'm just into the "front porch sittin" nowadays. Gettin old I guess...
