Antler Velvet

I'm trying to get different methods for preserving velvet on antlers. It was drying & starting to come off. Just wondering if there was a way to dry it on up or if it would dry on it's own. Thanks for any info.

that Knobloch chemicals make an item specifically for this, check your catalogs.
i used it on a caribou and it worked really good, that was several years ago and i still have no problems with the mount, i believe you can inject them if they are soft enough or you can also soak the velvet with this chemical, i soaked the ones i did as the antlers had already started to harden and injecting the fluid was a real pain.

works great on velvet antlers, whether they are soft or dry.
