how far down the beaver tail.....

just finished skinning my first beaver. He weighed about 65 lb.
Now I am at the tail and want to open it to clean out the inside
and get him ready to ? is how far down the tail do I cut? All the
way to the tip end and then filet the inside? I just watched a good slide show on beaver trapping but it didn't show the skinning part.
p.s I read where the meat is delish but since a beaver is a rodent
I would feel like I was eating rat :>(

but no one said where to buy the fake ones...
on Ebay maybe?

Most taxidermy suppliers carry artificial beaver tails. Good Luck! Jeff F.
