A Election Day Yox Yax for the forums

I saved this one for after the 'left' ran out and voted our lives away...

Campaigning is alot like getting a date. Ask any girl. Heck, aside from cecil, ask any guy. Theyll tell you. You often say whatever it takes just to get your foot in the door. Both sides do it. Paint that perfect scenario with the most sincere sounding brush strokes. Promise the world, they say. And candidates do this. Do anything to attain the goal, that first kiss. Once they get their foot in the door, they can go from there. They both court, but often only one is sincere, and some folks can see it. Others cannot.

Convincing the girl is easy usually, as the girl has often put herself into the position to be courted as well. Convincing the skeptic, the girl who already HAS a date, now thats a bit more of a challenge. Lots more work. Lots more convincing...or deceiving. The problem is some candidates will do anything to get that first kiss. They go to any length, even appearing to court the mother or father to gain acceptance with the girl herself. Now some girls eat it right up, and never see it coming until its too late. Sometimes others who have already dated this candidate can offer up warnings, sometimes out of bitterness, and unfairly. BUT, still others see the obvious flaw, only to understand that this is a project worth keeping and working out, rather than discarding. Sometimes just jumping to change, going from guy to guy isnt the best judgement.

How many relationships do you know of where two people go from one coupling to another, over and over? Yep, and theyre still trying to find that special "one" arent they. Ask her about how she keeps "interviewing" yet another of the same, the claims start to ring hollow, and possibly she longs for one of those first choices, in hindsight...

Yet so often the close couple, the happy ones, will tell you how at times things got shaky, but they persevered. The union is sound, not disposable. Sometimes theres just something there, something she saw in him, shell tell you. Listen.

Just remember, this is how campaigning and dating are similar. Unlike dating, choosing a candidate today is permanent. No break-up, no divorce, no flings.

I suspect some of you enjoyed the blush of courtship, but when it actually comes time to pull the plug, you might hesitate at the name that showed you the good time, and instead vote for the one who, good or not always so good, was always there for you. Use that intuition today.

Those who ran out first thing for the break-up, enjoy your four year date. And dont complain, you picked him.I

Clinton, could have had, Osama KILLED, he chose not to, and how many of our troops died? Think about it, there were some attacks, and troops were killed.

Oh why do I persist

ON A BOAR HOG. You serve absolutely no purpose in life. You keep counting heros who've died so your pitiful excuse of a human being can survive. Yesterday, probably 1000 people died in the Sudan under socialism. Yesterday, over 100 Americans died on the highways of America. Yesterday, over 100 people died from violence in inner city cess pools of drug dealing. Yesterday, 100 people died from cancers and ailments that in 20 years will probably no longer exist. But YOU liberal swine keep a scorecard as to who died in defense of freedom. Oh, not YOUR freedom, and since socialists only care for themselves, it doesn't matter to you, does it. As I continue to say, you're a pitiful excuse for a human being. For a gutless whiner hiding behind a keyboard, you sure to paint a different picture. Why don't you show up at a gathering of real taxidermists and spout this important message you fleck all over this site? Oh, we know: you're too busy making money. Well, get used to it if you *ero wins, you'll need it to pay for his tax increases. But we also know the REAL reason, you don't have the guts of your convictions. It's easy to snipe from a keyboard, but another to face your peers.

Nice post Bill.

Who would you want next to you in war? If you were in the battle( we know you would be in Canadaa) but if you took the wrong bus ( the short one)and ended up in the battle who would you want beside you? Bill Yox, George Bush, or someone like John Kerry? If you can be honest with yourself what kind of person would you trust with your life? say what you want, you and all of us know the honest answer to that question.

why drag JFK's past into this?

Well that's a hard one Dave

Who's actually been in combat out of all those you mentioned? I'll take a seasoned veteran any day. Besides Bill Yox would give away our position by that shiney head. LOL

And don't give me some crap about what easy duty the river boats were. It was some of the most hazardous duty there was. Look it up. The odds of making it out alive were really bad.

BTW I was slated for Iraq duty during the Gulf War when I served in the ANG, but the war ended prematurely. Why aren't you over there tough guy?

Cecil, what have I told you about talking war?

This response submitted by George on 11/2/04 at 3:22 PM. ( ) 205.188.116.135

We all know about the yellow streak down your back and how you wet your pants at the thought of being activated. I didn't READ about the Swift vets, I didn't need to. And though their duty was quite hazardous, no duty there was safe. The Tunnel rats probably had the most dangerous duty anywhere next to the sniper teams and the rescue choppers. So before you start talking about things you've read in the revisionists history books, DON'T. You don't have a clue. Never did, never will. And before you go off on a tangent about me flying a desk, I've told you. You submit the FOA paperwork and I'll sign it for you to see my record. You should be able to say that about your *ero kerry. LMAO.

BTW, Dave WAS there once if I recall and ONE TIME is a million times more valid than "almost activated" ever will be.

Campaigning is alot like getting a date
