I think that's great but how many of you thing Al Zaquri (sp?)is still there? I'll bet anything he's fled. Whatever happened to the old days when we didn't tell our enemy ahead of time we were coming in?

...we didn't have TV and certainly no CNN. Had we, they'd have been on the cliffs with the Germans at Normandy much like they were in Somalia when the Marines landed.

Good point George

I've noticed my dad just shakes his head now when he sees this. The element of suprise used to be one of our best tactics.

The election is over so, please don't take this defensively. If you think about why these things are broadcast ahead of time, you have to know that the Liberal press has made it so. They say it isn't fair for them to be left not knowing what the military are doing. There are reporters attached to most military units. This would be great from a historic point to know exactly what was going on, but in the zest to be the first with the scoup. Military intelegence is all too often comprimised. The public also enjoys seeing these military actions as they happen. Here is my delema. You claim to be Liberal, leftist, socialist. But so many of your true values are concervative. I guess that is what is so confusing about you.

It is worse now Tony but...

It's not new though regarding the press compromising missions. My dad tells me in Vietnam he stomped a few expensive cameras into the ground. LOl I have a picture of my dad standing near Morley Safer (sp?) that used to be on 60 minutes.
