took it to a bad taxidermist. Sadly probably one of the two.
I'm hoping that wasn't a shot on your behalf. Saskatchewan has some very skilled taxidermists. I know several of them who do great work on fish!
I was being sarcastic about the fact that a fish of a lifetime like this many times gets eaten or taken to a lousy taxidermist. It doesn't matter where you are.
Rumer has it he plans on taking it to a place In indiana To Have a guy name baird butcher it.
the 18lber I mounted, looks more like a 14lber to me. He must a had the same photographer that took the picture of that bear that looked huge (because of the relation of the lens to the object to the person behind the object). Bear guides are notorious for tricky pictures and fishermen are not too far behind them.
My bet fillet of Walleye is on the menu.
So how many first place ribbons on your wall big guy? It takes me a while to count mine. LOL
Come on Paul. It's got to be 18 lbs. Catholics don't lie! I'm a catholic.
If it's not 18 lbs more than likely it was the scale. Anyone ever notice how many unreliable scales out there?
...scales it was weighed on were all wrong - lol!
Photos can be decieving as hell. Look at that big bear photo that's out there. Although a huge bear, the camera angle makes it look twice as big.
Never saw an 18 pound walleye. But i look at the size of this one's head and I say to myself "oh my garshk"! That's a hawg. Just think if that thing had a belly...
